Miss Emer

Emer trained at Dixon-Woods School of Dance in Leicester from the age of three. Whilst training at the school she performed in multiple Musical Theatre pieces at De Montfort Hall and accompanied Arts in Education in ballet performances across the county. Emer took on the role of assistant dance teacher for over a decade, during this time she helped to nurture the talents of many of her students, allowing them to reach their full potential and make the most of opportunities that came their way.

During her time at Dixon-Woods, she competed in BTDA’s All England Championship Final’s in 6 consecutive years as a senior before continuing training at Middlesex University. Whilst studying at Middlesex, Emer attended company classes with Candoco to expand her knowledge and understanding of the art.

In her final year of study, Emer took part in a specially commissioned Big Dance and WOMAD performance at the Queen’s Coronation festival in 2013.

After completing her degree in Dance Studies, she began delivering dance lessons to schools across the midlands, ranging from EYSF Classes through to A-level classes. She delivered bespoke choreography to both primary schools and colleges before relocating to the South, Emer is very excited to be joining our wonderful teaching team!
